There are many scenic outdoor locations around Lake Tahoe that are excellent for photography sessions. Some of my favorite portrait spots include:

Emerald Bay, CA on the South west side of Lake Tahoe it's one of those special locations, overlooking emerald bay.
Regan Beach, CA- South Lake Tahoe photography location great for children's photography sessions.
Logan Shoals Vista, NV- On the west side Lake Tahoe with a great view of Mt Talac.
Heavenly Gondola- Heavenly Village South Lake Tahoe at the mid-station. A nice view, but it has an an-avoidable railing on full length shots.
